My name is Katy Cooper. I currently live in Longview, WA and am a stay at home mom to our 2 year old, Bridget and looking forward to meeting Baby Boy Cooper in October! My husband, Brooks, and I have been married for 9 years this July.
I had lived in Spokane, WA, my entire life (including college at Whitworth University) until this past Fall 2015. My husband went from teacher to administrator the last week of August and spurred a major transition for our whole family. We both resigned from our teaching posts and put our house on the market that we had not been planning to sell. It was a wild ending to 2015, but it has been a wonderful move for our family on so many levels.
I taught for 5 years at the middle school level in Social Studies and Reading. I miss the classroom and plan to return when the timing is right for our family. I spend a lot of my time walking to the park, reading books with my daughter, and trying to corral the crazy energy only toddlers can provide.
